نسخه جدید اپ TestFlight منتشر شده و حالا توسعه دهندگان می‌توانند اپ‌های WatchOS 2 و همین‌طور ویژگی‌های جدید iOS 9 برای نرم‌افزارها را مورد آزمایش قرار دهند. یکی از همین ویژگی‌های جدید در iOS 9 پروسه‌ای است به نام App Thinning. این پروسه به اپ‌های iOS اجازه می‌دهد که فقط با اطلاعات ضروری دانلود شوند. به عنوان مثال، اگر شما آیفون ۶ دارید دیگر نیازی به آیکون یک اپ برای آیفون ۶ پلاس ندارید.
